Random Spills - 12/17/09 part 1

Talk about being busy...

But, its been good. I work in a great school and I work for good people. So, I can't complain. Time really flies, though. I blinked and it was Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas...

How about that Tiger Woods, ladies and gentlemen?

I only know a few people capable of being this stupid. I know guys that have pulled bonehead moves when it comes to how they deal with women, but this one takes the cake. At this moment, no one is really sure just how many women Tiger Woods is/was fucking. Now, he wants to stay with his wife? Talk about "worst move ever". Forget the "It's Cheaper to Keep'er" argument. To get out of this one, its reported that Woods would have to surrender about $300 million of his estimated $1 billion-dollar estate.

No big deal?

Money is money.
I don't care who you are - your hands will shake signing that check.
You might even pee your pants a little.

No matter, really.
Tiger earned it.

So, Tiger....this beautiful woman just wasn't enough for your goofy-looking ass? I guess not. But, don't worry dummy. After she takes your money and rolls, wait until you see the dude she starts sleeping with....in your house.

We are going to be clownin' your ass.

He didn't just get caught cheating. At this moment, Playgirl is entertaining the idea of publishing nude pictures of him that were taken when he was...oh,who gives a fuck...? Someone got nude pictures of him and now they are threatening to publish them.

How much worse can this get?

Not only are women coming forward to talk about sleeping with him, taking money from him, doing Ambien with him, going on trips with...holy shit, when did this guy find time to play golf? Now, men are coming forward saying that they were in relationships with some of those women while Tiger was screwing them. Medical professionals are being questioned about the possibility that they supplied Woods with performance enhancing drugs.

Folks, we are officially going down the "rabbit-hole" with Tiger Woods.

"Can I stay at your house, Phil? I'm outdoors, man."

Gillette, Accenture and Gatorade have all dropped their sponsor deals with Woods. If that isn't bad enough, they are saying the game of golf itself is going to suffer because of this. When Woods took a hiatus from the tour to rehab an injury, an estimated 50% of the viewers who watched the PGA tour stopped watching. I feel sorry for the guys who routinely show up to get their asses kicked by Woods. After all, I only know Phil Mickelson's name because he is a guy who just can't beat Tiger Woods.

Phil Mickelson blowing it

Then, a few of them got the idea that all of the companies who bailed on Tiger would automatically start throwing some endorsements their way.

Golfers blowing their loads....

But, I have news for your guys...that is not how marketing works. Just because Accenture drops Tiger Woods, it does not mean they view you as being a viable alternative for the success of their advertising strategy. So, put it back in your pants and settle down.

So, just how bad is this getting for Tiger? CNN reports that Woods' indiscretions have upset many people in the African-American community. It seems that there is anger over the fact that he isn't...I don't know...dicking over African-American women? Don't shoot me over that. I have heard it being discussed on talk shows and it makes me scratch my head, too. I only mention it because it is just one more problem Woods did not anticipate when all of this started.

At this point, people are just piling on.
Is it the promise of a payday?
Is it for quick fame?

Call it what you want, Woods' problems are just beginning.

I mean...you can't even make this many bad moves in a game of Chess. After a certain point, the game is over.

Is it over for Tiger?

That remains to be seen. But, this approval rating is way down. Hey, if he comes back and wins, this might go away.

For now, the image he fought so hard to cultivate - a family man, a dominant athlete, squeaky clean - has been destroyed. One thing Tiger Woods can take solace in - Americans love a comeback.

I guess the question is, "Have we seen the worst of this?"
Or, will Tiger Woods fool all of us and emerge from this unscathed?

Only Oprah knows for sure...
